The 26th Forum on specification and Design Languages (FDL) will take place from September 13th to 15th, 2023 in Turin, Italy. Lively and elegant, always on the move, Turin is an aristocratic “old lady” more than two thousand years old, whose vestiges are still visible in its main monuments, streets and squares, but with a very dynamic, innovative and modern soul. The first capital of Italy invites you to discover its ancient and modern history, the Royal Residences, the palaces and museums, the parks and tree-lined avenues, the river and the mountains, the historic restaurants and cafes, the long arcaded streets and the multiethnic neighborhoods, the great events and the many small pleasures that have always made it unique, in a harmonious balance among the rational Roman urban planning, the moderate splendor of the Piemonte baroque and the originality of modern and contemporary architecture. Further information about Turin
The conference will take place in the Aula Magna of Campus Lingotto of Politecnico di Torino. Campus Lingotto
is located in the historical building which for many years had hosted the FIAT plant, nowadays a multifunctional
center designed by Renzo Piano. Its roof still hosts a paved test track for cars, built in 1926 with the
well-known ring shape and the two parabolic curves on the ends designed so as to be able to be tackled with speeds
up to at 90 km/h, when at the time the top speed of cars was 70 km/h. The location is easy to reach by metro
(about 15’ from the main stations).
