The easiest way to reach St. Goar is by train, with a journey time of one to two hours and a cost of approximately 30 euros. You can find and book your ticket at https://int.bahn.de/en. Just use Frankfurt Airport ("Frankfurt(Main)Flugh" or "Frankfurt am Main Flughafen Fernbahnhof") and St. Goar as your departure and destination stations, respectively. There is a train connection almost every hour during the daytime.

Once you arrive in St. Goar, you can walk up the hill to Schloss Rheinfels (about 15 to 20 minutes), or wait for the shuttle service that connects the train station with the castle. You can also take bus line 681 in the direction of Biebernheim.
